The Camera Cafe in Holborn is the most perfect place. If couldn't have imagined a more perfect cafe if I was asked to design one. It is basically a second hand film camera and manual lens shop which doubles up as a cafe. The coffee is awesome, the staff friendly and it sometimes doubles up as an independent musician's performance area.
However, following the events of Saturday, the Camera Cafe will henceforth be remembered for darker reasons. Sroyon, who has always been known to have a fuzzy understanding of culture, was well and truly confirmed as a philistine when he called the Shen-Hao (picture below) a "big, black box" and uttered the unthinkable words "cameras are not meant to be beautiful." He will be referred to as the philistine in all future discussions.

Cameras are machines. They aren't meant to be beautiful. What they produce is what should matter! So I kind of agree with Sroyon.
Another philistine. I don't own a car or even drive one but have the good sense to acknowledge that their sole purpose is not for getting me from A to B.
The aim of course was to shock you into posting again.
But having said that, I maintain that it's a big, black box.
Your logic is internally contradictory.
But what can one expect from a philistine?
i have to visit this cafe!
sounds so perfect.
Everything that can produce something beautiful is beautiful. Love cameras. Love your blog. :)
it's incredibly beautiful, whatever it is.
