A couple have been evicted from their house via facebook. A court gave Mark McCormack, a mortgage lawyer, permission to serve an eviction notice on a couple via facebook after failing to contact them using conventional means.
An online beauty boutique is offering people 10p per wink if they display the company's logo on their eyelids. They actually use the term "pay per wink" in the contract.
The Times of India has today confirmed a long held fear of mine: lightning. 8 people die per day in India from lightning strikes. This is much more than the tally from insurgency or terrorist attacks.
The Napoli president, Aurelio De Laurentiis, is so frustrated by his players leaving for English clubs that he has warned them about the toilet habits of English women. He said, "If they want to go to England then in the end they're going to go, but they need to understand this: the English live badly, eat badly and their women do not wash their genitalia. To them, a bidet is a mystery."
Another football one: Rio Ferdinand has ruled Arsenal out of the title race. Given Ferdinand's experience, this is funny. Manchester United themselves were 9 points behind Arsenal approximately same time last season but came back to win it.

One can understand why Ferdinand is making such a statement. Last year ManU did not depend on players of the calibre of Denilson, Diaby, Song and Eboue to win the title.
My theory is that Ferdinand is trying to inspire Arsenal ahead of their clash against Liverpool. Man United can certainly do with Arsenal winning this weekend.
